For detailed rules and regulations, please refer to the "Tunghai University Credit Exemption Regulations." For credit exemptions at other times, please refer to "Part 2."

Article 2: The following students are eligible to apply for credit exemption:

  1. Transfer students.
  2. New students who re-enter the university.
  3. Students in dual-degree programs.
  4. Students who have obtained prerequisite credits before pursuing a degree as required by laws and regulations.
  5. Students who have achieved a score of 70 or above in courses taken in master's or doctoral programs, and whose credits are not included in the minimum graduation credit requirements, with supporting documentation.

Article 3: After students of various types are enrolled, they can apply for credit exemption for courses they have already passed, according to the following regulations:

  1. Students who have advanced to a higher grade level should take the required credits and courses specified in the curriculum for the academic year after the grade advancement.
  2. Overseas students enrolled in the university's dual-degree program can have their previously passed courses exempted based on agreements between the two institutions. They will be assigned to the appropriate grade level for enrollment and should study at the university for at least one year.
  3. Graduate students who have re-taken exams or obtained prerequisite credits before pursuing a degree as required by laws and regulations can have their credit exemption limited to two-thirds of the graduation credit requirements for master's and doctoral programs (excluding thesis credits). Master's students should study for at least one year, and doctoral students should study for at least two years.

Article 5: The scope of credit exemption includes mandatory courses, elective courses, and other elective courses recognized by the respective departments.
